Ashley's story was a heartbreaking story of love and having to make tough decisions. Ashley was 17 when she found out she was pregnant. The baby's daddy is her ex-boyfriend and he didn't want anything to do with the baby.


Ashley struggled the entire episode of what was best for her baby once it was born. Her mom was a young mom and she watched her struggle her whole life, she always felt like she didn't have enough time with her mom. Her biological Dad was also not in the picture, and she really wants better for her baby.


Ashley struggles with her decision but decides she has to do what's best for her daughter and her mom calls the adoption agency. After Ashley and her mom meet with the women from the agency she realizes this is going to be harder then she thought.


Ashley then gets a phone call from her uncle (her mom's brother); his wife and he would like to adopt the baby if Ashley decides to go through with an adoption. This is both a blessing and a curse to Ashley. She loves the idea of her baby being raised in her family, especially with her Aunt and uncle who she is close with. She loves the idea of being able to see lots of pictures and videos of her child and even have visits on holidays. Best of all she loves how she KNOWS that her baby will be loved and taken care of!


What Ashley doesn't like is how now she feels like she doesn't have any options. She loves her Aunt and Uncle and deciding to keep the baby would be letting them down and hurting them. She doesn't like how now she sees them and the enemy without wanting to, because they will be the ones waiting to take her baby from her when the 48 hour hospital stay is over.


Ashley delivers a beautiful baby girl, who is named Callie. It is absolutely heart breaking to watch Ashley struggle with giving her daughter up for adoption. All she wants to do is hold her daughter, and be a mom. She can't sleep when in the hospital and just keeps asking for more time as the 48 hour mark approaches and she is soon to be discharged from the hospital. She knows leaving the hospital means giving Callie up and she just wants to be with her daughter.


When she get's discharged her mom takes her and baby Callie to her aunt's house. This is where the papers will be signed and Callie will officially be adopted. Ashley can't go in the house right away, she has to stay in the car and compose herself. It is so heart wrenching to watch and imagine the feelings she is going through.


A couple weeks after the papers are signed Ashley is telling her mom how depressed she is and how if she could she would go get her daughter now and bring her home. You can really feel and see the love Ashley has for her daughter and the pain in her eyes.


Her mom talks to her Ashley's Aunt and Uncle and they decide to let Ashley take Callie back and try. Ashley is so lucky her family is so great! Ashley picks Callie up and brings her home. For the next couple months Ashley takes on the responsibility of being Callie's mom, but still can't decide if she should keep her and parent...or choose adoption.


Ashley finally bring in an adoption councillor and she decides that it's best for Ashley to keep Callie because she loves her so much and it's so hard to think of not having her at home with her, but its best for Callie to have a Dad and stay at home mom. She wants her to have a stable home and money for all the things she needs and wants. She doesn't want to keep her and her be raised in daycare and babysitters.


Ashley had to make a very grown up desicion. Her episode was so heartbreaking, but it was also very inspirational and heart-warming. To watch this young mom make such a selfless decision, to see the love she has for her daughter is absolutely breath taking.

16 and Pregnant Where are they now?

MTV must be reading our minds! They have done a 1 hour 30 minute special on the first 2 season's of 16 and Pregnant and where the girls are now!

They take us to meet up with all the girls that have been featured on 16 and Pregnant, including the girls from the original season. You know the season where we got our first Teen Moms; Maci, Farrah, Catelynn, and Amber? Do you remember the girls that didn't make the cut? Ever wonder what they have been up to...I know I sure have.

16 and Pregnant - Megan After Show Interview

Megan talks about the struggles of motherhood. Baby Blake is teething causing him to be more cranky and sleep less. She says some things are easier then she thought, well others are harder. Changing diapers is way easier then she expected, but teething is turning out to be much harder.

She talks about how her mom regrets letting Nathan move him, because it led to her getting pregnant, but she loves her grandson.

She tells us how Nathan recently got a job but other then that nothing has changed with him. He moved out recently because he doesn't know what he wants. She thinks it's because he has a lot of growing up to do he still loves his video games and hanging out with friends. She hopes he will grow up soon and they can get back together.

She tells her how having Blake has made problems not matter as much as long as Blake is happy. She is a stronger person since having him. A few of her friends have gotten close to her again and they even go shopping with her and Blake. One of them even wants to babysit. Megan also made a new teen mom friends through another friend of hers. She even talks about how she has gotten really close with all the other moms on the show!

She touches on the subject about what people will think of her and Nathan once the show airs. She says they understand it will happen and have decided not to let any of it bother them. They know the truth and that's all that matters.

16 and Pregnant -Megan - Season 2 Episode 18

Megan is 16 and a junior in high school. She was a quiet good girl and then found Nathan. He is her 19 year old boyfriend, and the love of her life. Nathan has already graduated high school and spends his days and nights playing video games instead of getting a job.

Megan's mom let Nathan move in when his parents kicked him out. Her dad is serving in the Military and deployed to Afghanistan, and was against Nathan moving in. And that’s when Megan got pregnant.

 Megan has high hopes that Nathan will stop playing video games, get a job and be a great Dad. Her family on the other hand thinks when things get hard he is going to leave. Megan’s big sister who is also in the military talks to Nathan and tells him that he needs to get a job and he should consider the military. Nathan says he doesn’t want to be gone. She tells him she has a problem with him living off of her dad’s money he makes while serving in Afghanistan.

When everyone is pressuring Nathan to get a job and the pressure gets high he decides to leave a note for Megan that he's staying with a friend for a week. She decided to pay Nathan a visit at his friend’s house. When they are talking about what’s next for them, Nathan tells her that if she wasn’t pregnant he wouldn't be with her.

Megan is devastated and starts doubting Nathan too. It's time for her baby shower though, so she goes even though she isn’t feeling up to it. Some of her friends are there and she is starting to realize just how much she is going to have to give up, and how her friends and her have really grown apart.

Eventually Nathan came back, apologizing for leaving her... He expressed to her that he loves her and he won’t do it again. Megan decides to believe in Nathan and things start looking up for her.

Megan is a week past her due date and finds out she is only 1cm at her OB appointment. She is sad because he sister is being deployed and won’t be able to support her through all she is going through.

She decides she is ready for Blake to get here, so she researches natural ways to induce labor and tries some out. She jumps, bounces on her ball and even drinks castor oil to no avail. Then she wakes up in the morning with bad contractions and goes to the hospital. She gets there and is already 9.5 cm. Things start happening and she starts pushing....Nathan starts feeling sick. But in the end everything works out great and baby Blake is born into a room full of tears of joy and emotion.

When they get home Nathan almost immediately goes back to his old ways. He plays video games all the time leaving Megan to tend to baby Blake and get up and go to school. He won’t feed or change Blake leaving Megan’s mom to pick up the slack and watch Blake while Megan in at school.

Megan confronts Nathan and asks him to ask some of his friends with jobs to find him a job. Nathan ends up finding work with a friend but it’s in Texas. Megan doesn’t want him to go, but her Dad encourages it. Telling Megan it is his responsibility to take care of her and Blake.

The episode ends with Megan telling us how she has sacrificed a lot to be a mom. How she loves Blake so much but wishes she waited until she was older. Then she tears up when she talks about how her friends and her have grown apart, she says "everybody needs friends."

Missed last weeks episode with Kayla?

16 and Pregnant - "Kayla" Season 2 Episode 17

Kayla is a 17 year old southern belle, she loves pageants, horseback riding, and her mom. She is in her senior year and is looking forward to all the things that come along with that especially prom. Her boyfriend JR has already graduated high school and has a job as a mechanic. Both Kayla and J.R. have alot of love and respect for their own parents, and each other's parents, so refreshing to watch!

The relationship between both families is absolutely beautiful. Kayla's parent's are very supportive and encouraging to both her and JR. They are not happy that she is pregnant but know they cant change it, so are making the best of. Kayla's Mom Bev, listens to Kayla's fears and concerns, she offers advice and support they truly have great relationship.

J.R.'s parents have old fashioned values and wants the couple to get married before they live together. They offer then a house to live in that they own, but not until they are married. However they will be supportive of whatever the two think is best for them and the baby.

Kayla is missing not being able to participate in pageant's so her mom schedules her a pregnancy photo shoot. J.R. joins into the photo session, and after gets down on one knew to tell Kayla he loves her and her family and that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. It was a sweet moment complete with tears and she accepts with parents watching from the sidelines.

Later that night Kayla starts having contractions, with her due date still 5 weeks away. She is worried and wakes her mom up. She tells her that she is bleeding and they take off the hospital where J.R meets them. When she gets into labor and delivery they realize she is already 7 cm dilated, 2 hours later she starts pushing and welcome in the world her son Rylan Jason.

Kayla wants to breastfeed but because of Rylan being 5 weeks early his is unable to latch, so she pumps breast milk and bottle feeds him. (That is alot of work!) Kayla falls completely in love with little Rylan and motherhood suits her so well. J.R. works and is there for the baby as much as he can be and really steps up to his new role as Dad.

Both families come together to discuss helping with child care so Kayla can return to school. It is so great to see both families working together for the sake of their children and grandchildren.

Kayla realizes that leaving Rylan to return to school is going to be hard, but is glad to be able to have some type of social life again. When she returns she quickly realizes how much her life has changed, and how her and her friends have drifted apart.

J.R. has been fixing up the house on the weekends and wants to move in soon, but Kayla is not ready to move out and give up the help of her mom. She finally tells J.R. that she isn't ready to leave yet and she thinks that need to figure things out in their relationship more. He tells her that he wants to be the one taking care of his family. In the end Kayla decides she has to do what is best for her and Rylan, even if it hurt J.R. and stays at her moms. At least until she graduates and enjoys her summer, then she will see what happens from their.

Is it Teen Mom season 2...or 3?

So we have been following Farrah, Amber, Catelynn and Maci since we first met them on season 1 of MTV's 16 and pregnant. we have watched them grow during 2 season of MTV's hit show Teen Mom.

16 and Pregnant is where it started, then came Teen Mom where we watched 4 girls from 16 and pregnant Amber, Maci, Farrah and Catelynn deal with the struggles of being a mom. It left many views wondering what now?

So MTV decided to introduce us to a new group of pregnant teenagers and brought back 16 and Pregnant season 2. When we were all done watching a new group of girls go through life being a pregnant teen, and having a baby we were left wondering what now...again.

Then MTV brings back Teen Mom season 2 and instead of having us follow 4 girls from 16 and Pregnant season 2, we go back into the lives of our original 16 and Pregnant - Teen Mom season 1 girls; Maci, Farrah, Amber and Catelynn. Are you still following, it can get complicated.

Now MTV has started airing 16 and Pregnant season 3, with all new girls again. As we watch these girls we can't help but to wonder what MTV has in store for us next. Another season of Teen Mom with the original 4  girls, or new girls? We know teen mom will be back on in January of 2011, so who will we be following?

Sources have it that Teen Mom will introduce to us a new group of Teen Moms in January. 4 new girls all from 16 and Pregnant season 2. It is said that these girls will include Kail, Chelsea, Leah, and Jenelle.

It has also been stated by Maci,  from 16 and Pregnant season 1 and Teen mom season 1 an 2 that they have began filming for a season 3. So how does this work?
Teen Mom will still have the original 4 girls we have all been following; Amber, Farrah, Maci and catelynn it will begin airing season 3, probably late 2011. In the meantime Teen Mom 2 season 1, will be airing January 2011 and will feature 4 Teen Moms we met in 16 and Pregnant season 2; Kail, Chelsea, Leah with her twins, and Janelle.

Teen Mom - Amber Portwood Gets Leah Back

We have been watching Teen Mom Star Amber Portwood since she was first introduced to us by MTV on 16 and Pregnant. We watched her journey through pregnancy as a teenager into motherhood. Now she is a 20 year old women who we all follow on Teen Mom.

Amber has been having some personal issues and trouble in her life. We all watched on Teen Mom, as Amber and her on again off again fiance Gary Shirley got into a fight and she became violent with him. After many complaints after the airing of that episode of Teen Mom, the police launched in investigation into Amber. They ordered MTV to give them copies of all the footage shot for the show regarding the incident that was aired.
As many people worried, the police confirmed that Amber and Gary's young daughter Leah was present for Amber's violent temper and witnessed her mom hitting and kicking her Dad. This is a terribly sad situation for little Leah, who should not have to grow up around the violence.

Following this investigation Leah was deemed to be a Ward of the State and placed in the temporary custody of her Father Gary. Gary and Leah were to stay at Gary's mom's house until the court ordered different. Amber was granted supervised visitations. Amber was ordered to clean up her house and make it a safe, healthy environment for Leah to live in. She hired someone to clean her apartment, and purchased a bed for her Toddler over the weekend.

Amber went back to court early the following week and was given custody of her daughter back. She does have many stipulations, such as visitations from CPS a couple times a week. Amber was given a very serious warning that if she shows any inappropriate behaviour she could lose Leah again.
